英語が歩んできた歴史に沿って、それぞれの時代に生まれたり英語に採り入れられたりした言葉の語源を探りながら、身近な英単語の成り立ちを解説します。知らない英単語でも意味を推測できるようになり、語彙の増強にも役立ちます。


◆Phrase It Right 句動詞で話そう　色とりどりの英語表現

ホーソーンが著した米文学の古典。17世紀にボストンの清教徒社会で起きた事件を題材にした作品です。英語学習者向けに書き換えた「リトールド版」を掲載します。
